there will always be trolls, informants, and undercover cops floating around public gun ranges and maybe even private ones. why get in such a bother over them. they are a symptom of a sick state. In northern california i know guys who still hate registering their guns and buy and sell among themselves. these guys are not wackos or gun crazy but they live on ranches and in small towns where everyone knows how to handle guns properly without government interference. they do not threaten me or each other so why not live and let live?
