I would start a "horror stories (or war stories) at the old Lytle Creek open shooting area" thread, but younger people now days would have no memories of the open shooting area that use to be at Lytle Creek.
The absolute last time I was there in the early 1990's, I was lying flat down on the ground on my chest...the sound of ricochets cutting the air over my head. Also, some black guy cruised down the road staring down people and firing his handgun out the car window to the side of the road away from the firing line, and a guy who had pulled in with his kid next to my group to shoot tried to clear a jam with the muzzle pointing in our direction.
I called the place "Lie Down Creek" from then on.
