Jimi has it right; you never know where you might be in your home when trouble shows up. Just be smart and responsible as to where and how you store your self defense firearms.

I have a dedicated home defense gun in the place I am most vulnerable, when sleeping.

I have no need to stash guns around the home because everywhere I go there is a gun present...in my right front pocket!

My design built plywood paddle with holster fits between the mattress and box spring, hinged for flat transport to another location, we all sleep around right? Hotels, motels, cabins, motorhomes, trailers, etc.....
What you don't see is the rubber mat nonskid on the bottom to keep it rock solid anti movement when in place, otherwise surface treated plywood is very slippery in this condition.
Since the photos were taken, I have cut off the holster's retaining strap for a much quicker draw.
