The only place I have heard about it is on here, CGN. I've read all sorts of stories including one about convincing evidence the dinosaurs died from an asteroid 65 million yrs ago but not a 1 about standard capacity magazines.

Guys, this is silly. The "MSM" has dozens of stories out on it, including AP, Breitbart, CBS, etc. etc. I heard a radio blurb on NPR about it this afternoon, for god's sakes.

Its a great story for gun owners in California, and could be a great fundraiser story, but its just not a story that will help ratings on television. The television news mostly runs stories based on attracting viewership.

"If it bleeds, it leads." -> news motto. Plus I wouldnt want any news coverage scaring people. Remember the brilliant idea to walk into starbucks with open carry? That really helped the cause tremendously.

I suspect that they are intentionally keeping it on the down low, so as to limit the inflow as much as possible.

I personally have been reaching out to every gun lover I know to be sure that they are aware, and take the opportunity while it exists if they are so inclined.
