Saw shotgun shells this Sunday night at the one on Clairemont Mesa. I won't swear that they had anything else though, I just remember seeing them and wondering if I should stock up.

I tend to just go: "Ya know, over the last 5 years I've hunted a lot of pieces of paper, but never one animal - let alone people. Your car's probably killed more critters than my guns."

Of course, I have nothing against hunting - I just don't want to go freeze my butt off at some ungodly early hour of the morning and not even find anything.

I feel your pain. I was running around with my friend at Safeway reading Guns & Ammo and muttering about how beautiful they were. No stares, no annoying libs. This is in Marin, mind you.

I was on Bay Area Rapid Transit reading guns and ammo when the lady sitting opposite me went on about how wrong it was to kill. I retorted with "Yeah but its so fun", hoping she would get the message. No luck she just drolled on about how the animal does not have a fighting chance. I responded that more cars kill deer than hunters, and wasn't she responsible for the ballpeen hammer bouncing off of the cows head for the nice leather purse she was carrying. The guy standing behind her let out a cackle that got a few of us laughing. She was silent for the rest of the ride. Do Vegans wear leather shoes?

You shoulda followed up with, "Animals? Who said anything about animals? I don't believe in killing animals."

My funny Big 5 tale.

About a year ago, Big 5 had Speer Lawman 9mm on sale for 5.99 a box which is pretty low so I decided I'd stock up. I shoot IPSC and Steel Challenge so I burn mountains of the stuff. I walk up to the counter and tell the girl at the counter I'd like 60 please. She informs me that the ammo only comes 50rnds to a box. I tell her that is fine, I'd like to buy 60. At this point she is clearly frustrated and tells me that she can not take ten rounds out of one box . I tell her, no I want 60 boxes. She then tells me that I cannot have 60 boxes, that is against store policy. After a short chat with the PRO GUN manager, I leave with a rain check for sixty boxes, whoo hoo. Last time I've ever seen them have ammo that cheap, lol. Another buddy ordered 50 boxes, lol.....I figure they had to be clearing out a warehouse or something for them to undercut WallyWorld WWB

Hmm, what about when someone brings up how killing animals is wrong just responding with "Yeah, but with people it's harder to get away with..."

I wonder if I should make a shirt with a passage like "And God saw that man was unhappy, and that was not good. I'm going out today and buying ammo at every place I can think of or find, just so I might have a chance to say something to an anti-gun.

The best comeback I have thought of to date is;

Reminds me of the time I saw I think it was 4 non blondes doing a benefit for one of the animal rights groups.. and as I observed them doing their thing, I noticed that the lead singer was wearing leather pants.. um, ok, can we say hypocricy?

I love this one. I feel another cafepress t-shirt order coming on.

My favorite is to take gun magazine home to the UK and give them away at the range. They're illegal to sell there as they advertise "knives that are marked somewhere in the world as fighting knives". It is sad to watch grown men drawl over what we can buy even in CA.
