I'm fairly new here, and unfortunately my first sale in January(buyer) went very smoothly and unfortunately he didn't return the favor of leaving me feedback like I did for him.

Some people just don't bother with feedback unless something goes wrong to prod them, some don't know how to do it.

I think there's nothing wrong with sending the guy a PM and asking if he would post feedback. I remember early on not being able to post feedback, don't recall why I couldn't make it work. The seller or buyer of something asked me to leave feedback and I explained to him that I had tried, he told me how to do it.

Why does it Matter though if they are here primarily to sell as long as they are straightforward in their dealings?

Don't worry about it, I've had many transactions with no feedback registered. Some just not the iTrader/feedback kind of people and I don't force on them. If they wish to leave one, go for it, if not, no big deal. Ask after each transaction if they would like to exchange iTrader and I stop at that at whatever their respond was and continue on.

You'll have many transactions in the future as we can't just buy one (lol) and you'll build up the iTrader count eventually.

If he can't ppt within a couple of days after we agree and wanting me to hold it till his available date and time at a much later timeframe and his membership is new or none/low iTrader, for sure I'll ask for a deposit to hold the gun for him. If he really want the gun, he'll leave the deposit which some has with me in the past.

If no deposit, you can tell him, check back the availability for the gun when you are able to ppt as the ad will run.

Protect yourself and your time for the sale. If you don't then its on you.

I have never sold on Calguns, but I have purchased plenty. I’ve never flaked on anyone, but I’ve had a seller flake on me after I drove over an hour to meet him (and he had a fairly significant amount of positive feedback). So I would have a difficult time giving someone $10 or $20 as a deposit. I know I’m trustworthy but I also know not everyone is, and it’s impossible to tell who’s who over phone, text or PMs.

The way I see it, the seller has the upper hand. They can hold the gun as collateral and are only out their time in the event a buyer flakes. Not ideal, but at least they can turn around and sell the gun to someone else.

I Googled "integrity" and got a blank screen with a little "thinking" wheel spining and spinning- must have brought the servers to their knees trying to find even a remote definition.

I don't deal with anybody except for established members. I'm going require a phone call first. I'm not dealing with just text messages for communication.

                    My iTrader feedback or not

During my transactions on CG there is always texts sent to one another. If the other party doesn't leave iTrader info I send them a reminder text about it and let them know how much I would appreciate the feedback. This has worked a couple of times in the past.

Why not let someone decide if feedback is warranted?

Plenty of transactions in which I haven't received or submitted feedback for.
