The one thing I do not appreciate is that your information is being used for research purposes, whether you like it or not. You may not be personally identified but they do use your metrics in research. I absolutely guarantee it as I have seen the results of some of the reports.

Its actually really simple. Ask yourself honestly: do you have serious mental health issues, severe depression, feeling suicidal, thoughts about hurting yourself or others, hearing voices? Well then you probably should answer "YES" to having guns and talk to a mental health professional right away. You also might want to get rid of your guns.

If you dont have any mental issues then just answer "NO". Its really just a question for the lowest common denominator and or to catch the low hanging fruit. Kinda like a simple IQ test, dumb gun owners answer "YES", smart gunowners answer "NO". If you dont have any serious mental health issues and live a good responsible life, then nothing good can come from answering that question.

And as was said before, if you need a Dr to teach you firearm safety and risks, then you have ZERO business possessing firearms. Unless my Dr. Is also an NRA certified firearm instructor, I have no interest whatsoever in what they have to say about firearms.

Me owning guns is not sensitive information. You aren't the arbiter of who is or isn't fit to own firearms, enough people are shot negligently, lose their hearing, and suffer from lead exposure that a reminder on safety is justified even if it makes Dale Gribble nervous.
