      The answer is NO!
The problem with too many gun owners is that we have been raised to be "honest always", and that "good citizens" don't lie, ever. Well folks, those days of Mayberry are long past, and how you answer mundane questions can come back to haunt you in ways we never had imagined. It is a matter of survival, not what some goodie-twoshoes moralist kindergarten teacher tried to bathe you in. I'm willing to bet that those answers to the gun ownership inquiries will be given over to or accessed by the state, and in time many folks will one day wake up as "prohibited" persons as it related to firearms.

My answer would be: "OWN ANY GUNS?" - NO, I have lots of "weapons".

          Here we go again....

"By all means stick your finger up my anus doc, but noooooo I don't own any guns, can't trust him to know that!"

Don't be a wuss, stand and be counted.

Its not a legal from that could get you in trouble for lying, so answer yes or no, your choice, just don't leave it blank, that is a yes in today’s world.

But WOW, I would not answer 90+% of those questions, its none of their business.

Maybe the state has contracted with Kaiser to do a psychiatric assessment of all its patients, even if they come in for pneumonia, etc..

They might think Kaiser's sample size its a good way to get an accurate snapshot of the general population's mental health..

I would not fill out a psychiatry department form..... If they refused service I would change health plans and go PPO...

During the Obama years the VA used to ask if I was depressed or thought of injuring myself.

I would laugh and ask why they thought I might. She said "Oh its just a question we are told to ask"

Now that I think about those Obama years and how we RKBA folks were ridiculed and demonized. I see the reason for the question.

Having a positive attitude is easy when all anti gun media and democrat propaganda is left for others to read, watch and listen to.

So far no one has asked if I own guns. If they did I would probably figure they were interested in going shooting.

Face it friends an MD questionnaire is not needed for democrat to find out if you own a gun.

Not really, they found out a few years ago that certain questions asked by a PCP can reduce risk if injury or illness further down the road. So they ask about certain risk factor behaviors like domestic violence, depression, thoughts of suicide, and yes, gun ownership. Not everyone will be truthful, and not all risks eliminated, but it reduces costs to the insurer enough to have them ask.

Who remembers in the 90's when they used to ask if you were a homosexual or IV drug user? At the time those were primary risk factors to an AIDS epidemic, eventually some liberal gay groups got offended enough to make asking a taboo.

Gun owners who freak out about being asked if they own guns are triggered snowflakes.

Like it or not owning a gun increases your chances of getting shot, hearing impairment, and lead exposure. There are things you can do to mitigate those risks, but they are there.

Considering 21 veterans kill themselves every day those are excellent questions.

I rarely go to the doctor, haven't really in many years. But past Saturday, I stepped onto a board with 2 nails sticking out at Lowe's, and they went deep into my left foot.

When meeting my Blue Shield primary physician for the first time, the front desk hands me a form with questions I would not ask a chick before I'm ready to get married to her. So I filled in my name, birth date, omitted my SSN, occupation, employer, spousal information, etc., and handed it back.

Office ask me if I have a phone. I said yes, but it's confidential, but if you want to give my your number, I'll take it. That ended it. Doctor asks me what I do for a living, I tell him that it's classified, on a need-to-know basis.

I never volunteer information to anyone. Not my address, my phone number, my SSN, or who I voted for and why I don't like gay sex.

I'm 61 now, and it has served me well. I am an admitted conspiracy guy, believe that having all my information out there will eventually be accessed by people I don't want to know. Hence the confidentiality.

I get this same question at my kid's doctors and I just put yes.

I've known their doctor for over a decade and she is now a friend. Never had her ask any follow up questions.

Why lie? This is America and I refuse to apologize for owning guns

Maybe but I doubt those suicides are men wearing silk shirts to an MD appointment and enjoy flirting with her!

They no longer ask me, maybe because of policy change or maybe its just they know my answer.

Truth be told I am in a near state of extreme happiness since we elected President Trump, although I was amused with the previous dunce screwing up everything he touched.

Life will even be better when I complete the move from this state thats hates me !

I get an annual physical at Kaiser every year.
I've never been handed any questionnaire.
But I've never been to a psycho Dr either.
