For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

        Is this a bad thing?

Yeah those are all great things, it's too bad so many triggered snowflake gun owners require them to approach gently.

Hey, if you have guns and kids in the house don't be retarded, lock them up. If the previous sentence offended you, stop being retarded.

I'm a huge advocate of a proper gun safe even of you don't have kids.
The days of hiding your guns in your super-secret hiding place under the bed or in the back of the closet are long over.

Don't be retarded and believe doctors ask about guns in your home because they worry about your exposure to lead.

Safety belts, bike helmets, and baby gates by the stairs are a liberal plot to destroy the nuclear Christian family and take our guns.

It's one of the factors, and yes lead exposure is a risk in the shooting sports, you should definitely be getting tested.

I agree. My doctor and my kids' doctor asked, and I said "we have guns locked up for sporting use." That was the end of that conversation, other than the doctor asking my wife how her eye issue affects her shooting.

It is the American Academy of Pediatrics that has a "commitment to preventing gun injuries in children. That includes counseling parents about safe gun storage as well as supporting legislation.."

When my Dr. asks if I have guns I always reply: None that require medical attention.

My answer is- “Yes, a lot”.
If they insist on the number of guns- “I lost count years ago”.

Never had any issues answering this way.

I list Shooting as a hobby and have my lead levels checked annually, but I don't have guns loose in my house.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.
