Drew, thank you for your comprehensive post on firearms nation wide. It does provide some hope to those of us who hear nothing but bad things. I myself live in CA and have a very liberal family who do not believe in, or own guns. They also support liberal agendas and believe cops and guns are the problem with America, and believe the misinformation and stats they hear.

Hopefully the supreme court will block any further infringement that Gavin Newsom and Bacerra are going to attempt in the coming future of this state.

A State can ban certain guns , but not all guns. If CA wants to ban all semi auto rifles with a removable magazine they can and will.
the SC probably will not stop them from doing it. I hope i am wrong

Lawlessness is all around us. Ever see anyone driving and using a cell phone? Ever drive by a California pot store? Ever see a crowd of Cholos sitting outside the local Home Depot?

Ever see a democrat secretary of State get held accountable for her crimes? Ever see anyone commit perjury in front of congress? Ever see them put in jail?

The more laws you pass, the less effect they have, people ignore them as a rule.

85 year old Justice Ginsburg is likely to die while we have a President appointing originalist justices based on ideological purity and young age, and Republican Senate willing to confirm them.

If you ever wanted to buy something, I suggest buying it now. I said the same thing before the gun-pocalypse with the AR pattern rifles.

We just elected the most rapid, anti-gun politician that California has ever seen. Maybe the country. He is going to take that Thousand Oaks incident in run with that like Walter Payton ran with a football. All the way to his goal.

America has become significantly more gun-ho since then.

Ruger went from supporting the 1994 assault weapon and magazine ban, to selling AR-15s, extended magazines for 10/22s, and suppressors.

                      Excellent Post, Drew Eckhardt.....

Most Gun Owners in Anti-2A Leftist Enclaves are suffering from
Stockhom Syndrome, not realizing that Outside these Anti-Rights
Zones, Gun Rights have actually expanded in most states.

While the anti gun folks are 1 and have money and the media to help keep chipping away our gun rights.

For example, when there is a gun rally here on Sacramento, hardly no one shows up.
Gun rally that happened on Florida several months ago, only a handful shows up.

You got the NRA helping passing certain gun laws.

You got WA, Oregon etc slowly becoming like Cali.

I know I'm not wrong on those facts. I hate it, but ever yr there's some anti gun law being pushed or being passed.
                        Emphasis Mine.

                        Your Implication is Disingenuous.

It implies the NRA Currently supports Gun Control.

Without the NRA / NRA-ILA in its current form, Bloomberg and his
Billionaire Boys Club of Elitists would have done far more Damage
to the 2nd Amendment, with their Endless Supply of Cash to Fund
their War on 2A and law abiding Gun Owners.

Your apparently referencing the Detestable Mulford Act, which
occurred Over Half a Century Ago, before the NRA changed
course & created the NRA-ILA, and after the "Cincinnati Revolt",
when the New NRA Leadership actively started to push back against
Gun Control, and protecting the 2nd Amendment.

If you Support the 2nd Amendment, your best course of action is:
                        • Join the NRA, Preferably 5 year or Lifetime so you can Vote.
                        • Donate to the NRA-ILA, they do the Heavy Lifting in Political & Legal arenas.
                        • Keep yourself informed on current 2A related events.
                        • Do Not support the Democrat Party, the party of Gun Control & Bans.
                        • Support President Trump.
                        • Support Republican Party.
                        • VOTE.
