I put everything on my credit card for the $ back, but only buy things if I have the $ to pay of the CC bill completely.

I prefer AMEX, which I find less and less gun shops are taking. I like them since i get points, and they have an excellent waranty/stolen item program. I actually had to use it recently when someone stole a set of Swaro Binos from my luggage on a hunting trip. Amex reimbursed me for the full retail value within a couple of weeks.Comment

Yep credit cards have some nice benefits. I used Amex's extended warranty benefit when my Toshiba laptop screen died after the mfg's 1 year warranty expired. Called Amex to file a claim and they reimbursed me for the full cost of the laptop, which was pretty old by then, and used only a portion of the funds to get a better laptop.I prefer AMEX, which I find less and less gun shops are taking. Credit- I get points, rewards, cash back etc...
I always pay off the entire amount each month so it's the same as cash to me except I get a bonus.Comment

I pay using debit. I hate carrying cash on me, and never use checks. Debit gives me the ability to use plastic but take right out of my account as if it was cash. My financial institution reimburses any ATM/Debit fees so no worries there either.-Sean CaseyComment

you should be careful... credit cards are safer than debit cards. If your account gets hacked, its a lot easier to get things back in order with a credit card since it is not directly connected to your bank.Comment
