    How you do it?

    Hi,
Do you buy guns on credit? Just curious, since I personally try to buy things without future commitments... I know it's not ALWAYS the best thing to do, so I don't want to argue about which way is better.
    Just curious.

Always cash, makes life much more simple. If I can't afford it, I dont buy it.

I charge my firearms purchases on my credit card. In fact, I got a credit card for the first time just last year in order to do so. However my limit is $800, so even if I max it out it will not take me too long to pay it off. Even if I could get a higher limit I don't think I would want it! It would be too tempting!

[EDIT: Since I also use cash/debit, I voted for both.]

Oh, this poll won't show anybody's name in the votes, and if you use both methods about equally, you can check both.

I've never bought anything on credit/loan. Hopefully, the first thing I will ever buy that will put me in debt will be either my next car or a house.

Credit: actually amex, get points and since I still pay in full each month, no interest. Turners recently stopped accepting Amex so I will have to go elsewhere for my next one.

Only credit I have ever used is the GE card from Turners. They give you 3 months to pay it off before they start charging. I have bought 3 guns with that card and payed them all off before the CC company started charging me. Everything else, I have bought cash.

Credit, 0% intro APR, paid off before intro period was over. Probably would use credit again if I had the savings to immediately pay it off and wasn't charged 3-5% extra for processing.

Always credit card... Treat it as cash, if i cant afford it, i dont buy it. Gets me all the bonuses of buying with plastic without racking up debt and paying ridiculous interest.

Used to function always in debt, all lines of credit maxed. Don't know how much I paid in interest, but I'm sure it was six figures if you added it all up. Met my wife and she had always functioned cash only except for the mortgage (doesn't even finance cars). Credit cards were for convenience, not a loan. New way of thinking for me, and I saw that it worked.

Took me a couple of years to pay off all my stuff. Now I live with no debt, and we pay off the credit cards monthly if we use them. I've got a beater truck and I live a simpler life, maybe without all of the toys I used to think I needed, but I sleep a lot better at night. When I buy a gun, I save up the cash first.

Cash. Especially now that I'm able to make paperless purchases again. Cash = absolutely zero paper trail!

                            Always cash.

Like others have said, if I don't have the money, I don't get the gun.
