I just bnought another Mosin. I get a bit of financial aid for college which is now in the form of a debit card. I'm pretty sure they monitor what you are buying so the first stop was the gun store

Always the way to go. ALTHOUGH if I know I have a large check coming in from a gig I did I will use my Amex(paypal) for a good deal that I know wont last(classifieds here). Sometimes you just can't pass up a good deal

I voted for both. I usually try to pay cash but I have bought on credit before and may again.

Mainly pay cash, but will buy small items on cc and pay them off before another purchase.

Cash. Standard rule for me in almost everything except certain items: If you can't pay it off in 30 days, don't buy it.

Always cash. Usually it's in conjunction with selling or trading something...I'm a big fan of bartering. In fact, the first two firearms that I ever "bought" (a NIB SKS Para and a Winchester 1300 Defender) were obtained through a straight across trade for a PS3. And the PS3 was a straight across trade for a 1992 Ford Aerostar which was given to me for free.

Use credit, but only to build said credit. I still don't buy what I can't pay off immediately.

Cash or debit. My gun purchases come out of my fun money, which implies that I already have the fun money.

I bought my first gun on a credit card I actually got specifically for the purchase (a sig 226R I could not afford at the time). Since then its been all cash as now that I am graduated I can actually afford it.

Always credit card (rewards program). And always pay off each statement in full. I haven't paid CC interest in years.

I never use debit cards for purchases; the one time I had credit card fraud, it was fairly easy to clampdown and correct. My friend's fraud against her debit card was more complicated since it was tied directly to her bank accounts. Money from her checking account literally disappeared.

I use credit to pay for virtually everything - from my lunch everyday to guns, etc, etc. I pay of the cards every month. I try to use Amex since I get the cash back (just got $400 last month) but if not Amex, I use a Visa card that gets me airline miles.

Also, remember, with credit card purchases you have an extra layer of protection if there is a dispute and in some cases extended warranty, etc.

Usually cash/debit, tho when I got my AR, it was half cash and the rest on AMEX. Which has to be paid off the next month, so I guess it doesn't qualify in credit in the sense that you pay it over time
