    Armslist online purchase help.

Help me out here guys. I'm sure you have done some Armslist deals in the past.

Is a USPS money order a legit form of payment? The guy has been accommodating with my requests for a pic of his texas ID but won't send a pic of his face. I think he might be getting pissed with that last one, lol.im a vergin.

Money order is pretty accepted, but man I would be weary still. If he tried to defraud you he'd be committing an interstate crime. But would be pretty hard to get your money. I would try to get an FFL involved if I were you. They got a license to try and protect at least.

Crazy, I sent a message to 2 different listings for rifles in 2 separate states ( Texas and Colorado ). The way I found the second one was by clicking the see sellers other listings. The first guy said he only had one listed. Both of the guns are prices $50 bucks apart but the cheaper one is free shipping. I'm still emailing the Colorado guy. Asked him for a copy of his ID too. Waiting for a response. Are there a lot of scammers on Armslist?

There are a lot of scammers on there. There are also some good deals to be had but the risk is greater.

Just remember this golden rule and you’ll be fine...if it seems too good to be true, it usually is!

          Marlin 1895 SBL.
$750 for one free shipping. $800 for the other, $30 shipping.

To good to be true or fair. Both listed new in box. Both private seller not dealer.

I'm calling B S... Look at the time and date of the 2 different listings from different states posted one minute from the other.

When you click on sellers other listings you get the opposite listing.

            Should I report these guys?

Negative, he was trying for "wary," but I'd advise him to be both.

I guess you have to figure out what your recourse is - I certainly don't know. Then what you are willing to loose. Me? I wouldn't do it... too many negatives.

Sometimes I use a three strikes rule --- 1st Strike - iffy ID, 2nd strike iffy ad, 3rd strike a 2nd iffy ad that looks related to the first iffy ad.

***I used iffy more times today than in the last 5 years combined.

The second I put all the pieces together I knew something smelled fishy.

I was out the moment I clicked sellers other listings and found out the account owner with Armslist is selling in 2 differant states. This item is the same product as the other and it's possible it doesn't existent at all. 2 different people responded. Both sent a copy of their DL that have pictures of a couple guys who look like they could be related.

I like my money. I'll pay a bit more and get it from a reputable seller.

I have bought and sold on Armslist. Yes, you can get a good deal on there.

First rule of buying from someone on Armslist - NEVER SEND MONEY TO SOMEONE ADVERTISING ON ARMSLIST.

Change your search to only show sellers in your home state. Only meet with sellers in person.

                            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Thanks. Im done with them. It's basically Craigslist.

I'm waiting for Bud's or Sportsman's Warehouse gets them in stock.

The second guy sent me a picture of a fake Colorado DL. You can see where he switched out the address and the decorative security swirls didn't line up with the fix. The signature was someone else's too. Dirtbag.
