I'm surprised nobody suggested a bullet trap unloading station. [emoji849]
    *DIY of course.
The practice of measuring the fine line between safety and paranoia continues. Not much changed here OP.

Keep my night stand HD 1911 loaded cocked and locked and all others unloaded in my safes-- I definitely chamber check whenever take them out to just look at and fondle or dry fire.

Heck, I even have a Wilson Combat and Sig X5 that are still BNIB I have never fired a round out of them and I still even chamber check those when take out of safe to admire.

All of my guns are unloaded and locked in the big gun safe, save for my EDC/CCW gun. If its not on me and I am in my house, its probably in the nightstand safe, loaded and with a couple of loaded up mags with it. Since I carry an XD, a chamber check is a simple swipe of the finger along the top of the slide. I'll feel for it whenever I pick it up and will usually visually check twice a day, when I pick it up and when I put it away.

Every time I pick up a firearm. Even though I know they are unloaded, I still check it when I pick it up. When I am at a gun store and the clerk just checked it before handing it to me, I check it.

You never know when one of those little nasty bullets will find a way and crawl into your firearm unannounced.

All sorts of options left out of the poll.

I chamber check when I load the gun.

I chamber check if they gun has been removed from the holster for some reason and is now being reholstered.

Other than my nightstand gun, my firearms are unloaded and in the safes. I check the chamber every time I pick up a gun and when I am done shooting at the range before I set it on the bench or put it away.

I have three different guns I can carry, always chambered and ready to fire. A truck gun, my EDC, and a pocket pistol.

Truck gun only gets checked every so often. It sits untouched in the center console, so I check it whenever I take it out and put it back in, prepping for a trip, etc.

I press check my EDC every time I strap on the holster. Habit. Same for my pocket gun.

I do a mental chamber check everytime i think about my gun.

Every time I take immediate posession of a gun (on my person). Every time I relinquish immediate posession of a gun.
