    Lock box for vehicle

Iam trying to get a lock box for my 2018 Honda accord center console which measures 11in Length x 5.75in Width x 6in height that comes with a cord tether like the snapsafe lock box. I want to be able to unlock it from the top not from the sides since it will be in the center console. Please assist me in finding that unicorn lock box or any alternatives. I have a Smith and Wesson m&p9 shield.

Let me know if you need additional information.

    Thanks!

I don't think there's anything out there that will fit a normal sedan console box.

Look into the Hornady RAPID vehicle safe. Attached to the passenger side of the center console with a security cable and air bladder. With the RFID, you'll be able to open the safe, load a mag, and rack the slide in 5 seconds. Throw a sweatshirt over it when leaving the car unattended, and you've complied with the PC 25140 requirement by "lock[ing] the handgun in a locked container that is permanently affixed to the vehicle’s interior and not in plain view."
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

I have a 2015 Accord. I mounted lock box under the passenger seat, I screwed it to the floor of the car and then wrapped the cable around the seat mounts. To get to it the seat needs to come all the way forward and the back floor mat has to come up, otherwise you can't see it. I don't use it much so it's not a huge deal but I can easily remove it when I sell the car, something that might be problematic if you do anything serious to the center console.

I wish I can open it from the top instead of the side. It takes up too much room

I put the steel vault under my front seat. Anything done to the center console to store firearms can be interpreted as illegal here.

This one should fit your console. Just verify that the height measurement is to the top of the knob.

I use a Hornady Rapid Safe RFID 2600KP in my Tundra console, opens with RFID sticker in cell phone case, wristband, or key fob.....or use lighted numeric combination pad or regular key.

Very heavy and sturdy, can orient it different ways....mine stands upright (Tundra console is deep) so that when the door opens, the firearm is accessible.

                              I like my micro-vault; it looks like I'm carrying a book to and from . . . .
