LOL....yeah, our fail-safe court system . Pretty cut and dried for you, either they are in guilty and in prison....or they are deserving, upstanding citizens? Uh huh. We let people out of jail every day, just because it's TOO CROWDED.

Guess you never had a family member die at the hands of an ex-con gang member? My friend did...by a guy who shouldn't have been on the street, but he was out. I guess, by your measure, he was harmless and deserving of all rights afforded to law-abiding citizens.....since he was uhhh, out

So, convicted gang members should have rights to buy guns straight out of Turners? No background check? (1) If they're out of prison and dont need to see a parole officer, they should be free to do anything they damn well please. Wow, you straight up, with the homies.....los innocentes. Good on you. Ever watch the news? Lots of guys out from under the court system committing crimes with guns. Violent ex-cons need restrictions to get their rights back

New immigrants straight outta war torn Syria should be able to walk into Riflegear and buy, cuz they're in the good ol' USA? (2) Is running from a war zone a crime? No, but doesn't mean you get to own guns without vetting, either. Ever hear of a terrorist with bad intentions?

Meth heads and domestic violence convicts should be able to pick up a shotgun at Big5? (3) They should already be in prison, so problem solved. If they're out, see #1. If they were never convicted go look up the definition of "due process". They "should" be in prison....but what about those that WERE LET OUT (not exonerated) DUE TO OVERCROWDING? Oh yeah, courts never fail....I forgot how you depend on the court system to solve our issues. Funny how lots of women are scared sheitless while filing their restraining orders on GUYS WHO BEAT THE COURTS or just got out with a vendetta

Teens with 5150 identity problems and misguided anger at their first girlfriend need access to Glocks? Tide pods aren't enough? (4) Theres that pesky "due process" thing again. If they're institutionalized for their own protection or the protection of others, problem solved. If they're out, see #1. Again, for you, it's either they are in jail, or they are out. What about those "not quite" on the radar, yet? I sincerely doubt all the raging teen misfits are institutionalized already,.

The argument over the 2A was settled with the addition of the bill of rights.
Which weapons are to be allowed to be got/carried by the citizen at large is a distraction to lull the masses into an argumant about weapons posession/use and by whom. Freedom vs slavery is really the argument big staters don't want because they'll loose.
Freedom is dangerous and requires self governed citizens. Slavery is dictating the terms of conditions by which you are allowed to live.
Freedom is hard and requires work. Slavery is easy because the choices are directed for you and only requires laziness or apathy to maintain it.
The utopian lifestyle is already here! Free food, housing, medical care, education, safety and no responsibilities. Yes it's here my friends and there's a million ways to get there and it'll all be yours.

              It's called PRISON.

Argue freedom vs slavery and I'll stand with freedom every time. Even if it gets dangerous and ugly.

i'm ok with restrictions on certain people having access to legal firearms.

VIOLENT felons (not low level non-violent felons)
Those deemed to be mentally dangerous

So, the criminals and the insane

There shouldn't be any restrictions on WHAT you can get..

                        Really?

So you think Rapists, Murderers, violent child molesters, and clearly insane people should retain their right to buy on keep firearms?

                        Interesting..

Sorry, but that is of course ridiculous. That's not the gist of it.

I agree.. the more people armed the better in terms of citizens that aren't in the afore mentioned two groups

So if a convicted rapist or child molester or murderer does his time (which is NEVER the whole sentence) then you are good with them legally buying guns?

And, since we all agree that there shouldn't be restrictions on WHAT we can buy then they could buy anything.. full auto, whatever.

In a perfect world violent felons and nutters would be locked up forever, world isn't perfect though
