UGimports isn't the problem. He's an FFL (and one of the best ones) who needs to know what he can or cannot sell.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

      This...

How dare he contact the CADOJ asking for clarification to ensure that he doesn't end up losing his license by selling something that no one can agree on the legalities of... what a jerk.

So...I am an FFL and I'm aware of pretty much all the licenses available in California. What are you talking about?

I'm trying to find out what I can sell and not get my customers arrested.

Oooo yay, something else I'm going to be forced to buy if they rule in favor of it. I've seen it for a long time and wanted one just for fun, but the legalities weren't worth the headache to me. Calguns really is a love hate relationship with my savings account sometimes.

Here's were I question the legality. And this is one of the characteristics of an AW Pistol. And on the CFARS drop down menu for AW pistol registration.

              AW PISTOLS

A semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:
A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
              A second handgrip.
A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer’s hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.
A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

(gg) “Second handgrip” means a grip that allows the shooter to grip the pistol with their non-trigger hand. The second hand grip often has a grip texture to assist the shooter in weapon control.

For those uncomfortable with the potential second handgrip:
Glock locks in on the Roni on the "pic" rail could just get rid of that slanted front "thing" have a pic extension on the Roni slap on your x300 or whatever you use done looks like every Glock out there with a pic mounted light. Unless their going to call every hand gun with a pic mounted light as being configured with second hand grip YMMV IANAL

Dont ever buy the Roni kits, almost all the online stores will freely rat you out to any law enforcement agency when they request information.

I remember the threaded oil filter adapters fiasco, many people/stores who sold them on Amazon were coerced to turn into ATF informants, and they busted many buyers on Amazon in a massive sweep.

I wouldn't purchase without a valid atf/cadoj ruling, and it doesn't look like that will come to realization. I'll chalk it up to dreams that never had a necessity anyways. First world problems, as the kids call it.

Link? I remember those solvent traps, but don't remember the massive ATF sweeps. Would like to read more about it.

They did a sting operation with full auto sear parts selling on Amazon, when people use to sell them openly.

In addition to the fact that Amazon.com is now the world’s largest marketplace of contaminated, untested dietary supplements and food, a Natural News investigation confirms that Amazon.com has rolled out a “gun-running” sting operation to get its own customers charged with felony crimes by the ATF. Amazon.com, which has always prohibited the sale of firearms, […]

so based upon a member here it looks like the CADOJ came to a conclusion.

but just checked glockstore's website and i can still order it to a CA zipcode. not sure if they will cancel the order, but who knows.

Would it be helpful to send the link to CA DOJ and ask for a specific answer. Not that they would give you one, but then you know they've seen it?

With the fact they are doing arrests based on AW registrations I'm assuming they would consider a video by a CA FFL / Owner as evidence as well.

I'm guessing Glockstore already had their lawyers sign off that it was defensible.

                                Thoughts?
Why would you even want to bring it to the DOJ's attention? I swear this State's gun owners figuratively shoot themselves in the foot every damn time.
