    As the teacher in that classroom, I'd prefer to draw my 9mm from my ankle holster and prepare for greeting the shooter properly. I'm much more accurate with a Shield than pitching, and the second round is a lot quicker.

      The downsides that you wrote are just a start of why this is a bad idea.

      Not saying that throwing rocks is a reasonable planned defense.
