    Sight pusher ?

Since acquiring more HG's, I come to realization that all sights need a little TLC (push) none are POA to POI.

So asking for assistance in choosing a sight pusher that will work well with all kinds of HG sights, & will last.

I see many on the net, but believe CGners have filtered out the best.

Would you please recommend. Any tip to make the tool to work it's best, is as always appreciated.

    Thanks

My $0.02; MGW makes a great universal pusher for a little over $300. It's built like a tank, great quality. You can buy the same MGW pusher that is gun specific for about $110 but it is limited to one type of gun, so you have to decide which way to go. The gun-specific ones are so easy to use because it is already set up for your gun.

You can always try a drift punch but I've seen way too many guns for sale with "slight mark from moving the sight". If it is a one-time use you might get away with a homemade one off ebay but I would rather buy once and cry once.

As far as making the pusher work my only suggestions are make sure everything fits first and lube the screw on the pusher tool each time you use it.

I also agree that the MGW Sight Pro is the best value to get if you have multiple manufacturers and various models of handguns in your stable.

I've used my sight pro dozens of times and its already paid for itself.

I've used the Sight Pro and agree that it is excellent. However, if you are not really looking for a lifetime investment, this is a decent cheap one: https://www.amazon.com/NcStar-VTUPRS.../dp/B01HU4NNDE

Not in the same class at all, but it does the job and doesn't scratch up your gun. Mine came with a nice case too.

This is my current favorite. For $65 it can't be beat.

That's what I bought and it kicks butt. Sometimes they're kind of hard to find, but it just makes changing sights sooooooo easy.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Yes. Especially when you have over 20 handguns in various brands and models.

The Sight Pro locks down the slide from underneath, the sides and top.

Some sights are on so tight that they are very very tough to remove. Some universal sight pushers wont work from just holding the slide from the sides. Ask me how I know.
