I have a couple of Colt Python grips in my cache of stuff. Not factory, but very nice, and much cheaper than Colt...

If the walnut Gen ll grips are not in your future, look for a quite a bit lesser priced Colt factory Pachmayr "GRIPPER" with the gold rampant full horse-the photo below is of a half rampant horse off of my 1991 B STS Python.
The Colt medallion is SO much nicer than the Pachmayr medallion but in both cases you will lose the visual of the Python classic fluted backstrap.
Don't know if Colt issued them in 1967 but probably not a big deal if you elect to go the refinish route.
        Enjoy that pony!

It's worth more if you leave it in its current condition.

Use whatever oil you have, just don't go near Froglube.I use ballistol mainly and just decided to check out Lucas Gun Oil. It smells delicious and is a little thicker I think.

                  Ballistol is great though

Since Colt no longer works on Pythons I am having a really beat up gun refinished in E-Nickel Colt did some and they are my favorites. Mine was a 6" and now a 3" so no collector value left and I have an original " Coltgaurd" finished 4" with 10,000 rounds through her and she still looks like new.

If it's just a shooter go ahead and reblue it your self.
Get some Brownells OXPHO-BLUE cream formula, it works really good and you can control the color. You will need to prep the gun with steel wool.
If on the other hand you want a collector gun just leave it be.

That's a very fair price for the work involved.
