    Reblue python

    I just bought a used python for 1400. I want get refinish, should I get reblue or np3 coating

          Nothing looks worse than a re-blued Python, Colt would be your best bet.

            I think it's a capital offense to put a coating on a Python.

              Clean it up and enjoy shooting it.

              If I was going to have it re-blued I'd send it to Colt. It might increase the value but never to the level of an original. Coating a Python might get you committed.

                  I could tell by the roll mark that it is around 50 or more years old

                          You got a great deal on the Python. There is no company (including Colt) that can put a real Royal Blue blueing on it so a re blue would de value the gun even more.

                            Last time I check colt reblue is about 300-400.
