Because I'm special (competitative shooter, famous, celebrity, etc) I should have it, but the non-special people (normals, peasants, peons, etc) should not.

I'm fairly confident that this isn't the opinion of Taran Butler and Taran Tactical, but because the interview is starting to make its rounds on the Internet, they need to deal with this expeditiously and thoroughly.

Perhaps Rochelle needs to be properly educated on the terms "semiautomatic" and the meaning of the Second Amendment to the Constitution as understood by millions of firearms owners and non-owners alike. A dismissal from the team may seem harsh and it would look like we're eating our own, but this interview is doing, and has already done a lot of damage to our cause. People have lost jobs in the shooting/hunting/outdoors industry for much less, and I wouldn't lose sleep if Rochelle lost hers.

This isn't the whole interview of Rochelle Hathaway, but here's a link to the article, which features twelve women, each asked the same questions:

Rochelle was the only one that expressed an opinion of this nature - all eleven others were staunchly pro-firearm. Even non-Americans like Denise, the woman from the Czech Republic, understand the importance of the Second Amendment.

What's a little scary is that this interview took place during the SHOT show, where you are literally surrounded by like-minded individuals. There may be a lot of different companies exhibiting, but if there's one common thread that unites them, it's an appreciation and respect for the right to keep and bear arms. If she can state an opinion like this in that environment, imagine what her true feelings are when there isn't such an overwhelming influence.
