Not local, but my club Parma Rod & Gun Club is amazing!
The dues are well worth every penny.

My club is a private club.
To get voted in you have to attend 2 meetings, 2 board meetings and 2 club events either social or range work parties. Your membership application is read at the meetings and members ask you questions to try and get to know you.
We want to know you before you become a member because...
Each member is their own range master.
Folks leave their guns at one range to go shoot something else at another range.
The range has no staff and all members have access.
The membership wants to know the prospective member. So if you are not a safe shooter or a bad drunk etc. we don't vote you in. If you are a safe shooter and a pleasant drunk etc. we'll vote you in.
It is not that you have to suck up to get in. It is that you can't be an unsafe jerk and get in.^^ Said by some lunatic on the internetComment

The Compton Club is similar. After 60 years, we have about $1 million in assets including camping and hunting land near the Ventura and Kern County lines with a trap range, pistol range, RV electrical connections, permanent bathrooms and hot showers. Free dinners at meetings and many social events, sponsor kids' hunts and fishing trips plus the 24/7 underground range (no wind). We are the end of a dead end road with no housing in the area...just commercial property and a pigeon club across the road. It is like an oasis. We do almost all of the maintenance at our properties and expect the members to participate. We don't want jerks or freeloaders to join. The dues are a whopping $100 a year for all this and you become a part owner of all facilities. That is why it takes a few months and participation in work parties to get in.Last edited by Calif Hunter; 12-21-2017, 2:27 PM.Comment

No membership limit. Probably just slipped between the cracks. If you're interested in joining I encourage you to attend/participate in a weekend shoot. If you like the range then you just join on the website. Wait for an email to attend a range orientation. Do the orientation, pick up your packet and have fun.50% Deplorable, 50% wanting America to return to what it was
