Clearly cannot be done in that particular way, but there are many other ways that dance around the fine line.

Just look at the Clinton Foundation - it was all for charity and the benefits were just a coincidence. When donations stopped after the failed presidential run, that was a coincidence too (a bunch of foreign governments just happened to become less charitable all at once).

Heck, you could get caught paying a hooker after sex and claiming that you paid her for a speech she gave you earlier that night, but the sex was just consensual and the timing was a coincidence. Bill Clinton's speeches work that way.

In reality, since you're not a Clinton, you have to be a bit less direct, but the same principle applies - it's extremely hard to prove unless you pull off an Abramski and pretty much say "I did it."

Since you disagree, you need to shoot one round of each into a leg and report back which one is worse. What you suggest means nothing without a comparison.

In looking at the OPLAW form and the CA DOJ FAQ, I don't see any requirements that the firearm must be a gift, which indicates that the issue is only Federal in terms of buying it from a dealer and filling out a 4473 which would be a problem unless it was a gift, unless there is something else that I am missing.

I hate this state. I'm from this country. I was uprooted and dragged here when I was 2. I'm a dreamer - I dream to get out of this state to one where America still exists. It ain't better where I came from - Saginaw MI (land of 3 seasons June, misquito and winter)

You should move to a "free" red state and take a couple million with you. Think of all the guns you can buy, lower taxes, less traffic, more conservative folk ect.

The CA unsafe handgun laws are a prime example of what happens when firearm owners do not stand together and only look out for their own self-interests.

The only reason it passed the CA legislature was because CA "pro-gun" groups sold out to get exemptions for their special interests. Once they sold out, it was sold to the public as "common sense" legislation because "pro-gun" groups supported it.
