I have a specific need for a micro 9mm handgun and the Sig P938 fits the bill perfectly. Of course it is not on the roster and all the ones in this state sell for $1100-$1200 used if you can find them (very rare). My son(s) in Utah can buy them used for $500-$600 all day long.

So either I talk my boys into spending $500-$600 dollars on me (yea right) for Christmas and shipping it to an FFL or I compromise and buy a P238 and carry an inferior round.

I already have two properties in St. George. That's the plan but it is still eight years out.

Then this thread and circumstances will be ample evidence that the “birthday check” is sham.

Very familiar with Abramski and as such must rely on my sons generosity (fat chance). Looks like I'm stuck with the P238 or maybe a Kahr PM9 if I can find one.

The Kahr isn't a bad gun. I've fired one some. And a buddy of mine who used to be active in our group of instructors (so he's knowledgeable) has been using one as his carry gun since he moved to Puerto Rico some years ago.

The S&W Shield is just a bit larger. I've been pleased with mine. I've trained with it and carried it in Nevada when I was there last May.
