    No it Won't

No, because we have Trump as Pres, and a Republican House & Senate

As for California, God only knows .

The LV Police said in an interview, that I watched this morning, that the shooter was using a semi-auto rifle with a bump-fire stock. The channel 4 reporter that covered the interview said the BATF is taking a look at that now.

Though it doesn't affect us in CA, I will expect that BATF will very shortly issue new statements about the legality of trigger actuators, slide-fire/bump-fire accessories, etc.

After Sandyhook, I now can weather fluctuations in ammo supply.
As for "assault weapon" bans, I'm not as enamored with black rifles as most. But I'm against any bans. The NFA is unconstitutional.

No it's not. If that were possible the democrat minds of Excremento would have already written the bill. That would require the banning and confiscation of perhaps a million or more semi auto handguns as well as the rifles.

The Gav was on TV touting CA's new gun laws as the model for the rest of the nation. Gav knows the limit has been reached here, probably over-reached as there are several lawsuits to overturn those laws.

He will get no response from other than NY, CT, MA and NJ. CA gun laws will not play well in the rest of America.

The rush is already on. On the news they said on Sunday after the shooting, background checks blew through the roof. People interviewed were buying in expectation of future restrictions. Guns first, ammo next.

With the ammo law pending and this, no reason why you shouldn't get your ammo situation squared away at least.

Calm before the storm feeling of uncertainty right now , same as the few days after sandyhook.

Agree with this too. CA won't ever be able to ban featureless semi-auto rifles because they have worked so hard to establish definitions of just what makes an AW.

By vilifying the features and not the semi-auto firearm, they won't be able to get around Heller because of it. Even the most common passive firearm-ignorant, but middle of the road in society, won't agree with it.

Additionally, trying to establish registration of featureless semi-auto (DROS since 2014 notwithstanding) would not only be futile but get tons of backlash for going back on their word as to why they thought registration of "Assault Weapons" was so important but that they didn't want to come for your grandfather's rifle. Even lower courts would toss it.

I will concede that while they'll never be able to do an outright ban and require registration on semi-auto rifles without impunity, I do think it's possible they will attempt to ban future sales, either as new or used on the same, and ban import into CA of featureless semi-autos. But this would eventually get tossed in court too.

That won't happen under Brown, but could happen under Governor Garcetti.

(No, I don't think Gavin Newsom will ever be governor; he's got too much of a slimy past that will come out against him in a campaign run, and the majority of CA does not like him. He's a legend in his own mind because certain cultures in his close proximity feed his ego on a daily basis, giving him a false impression of himself, but outside of SF he's very disliked on a majority scale.)
