So now that we had a mass shooting, do you think ammo will become scarce?

The ammo gods have been great to us lately,but I see brownels already raised some prices (sales might have just ended but I wear a tin hat at times).

Not good for the families of those affected I know, but only 2+ months left for us in ccommiefornia.

The press is going to have a field day with this. They will blame Trump for it "He's flooding the nation with machine guns!!!"

It won't be like after Sandy Hook Elementary/Newton, but there will be some measure of depletion on more common ammunition as the doubts will still be there about what state legislators may do going forward.

Expect several states to adopt new bills this year similar to our home-grown Prop 63, requiring background check and licensing to buy ammo, possibly even quantity limits and fees/taxes in states where they can get away with the latter.

I just checked SGAmmo. They look like they are having heavy volume of ordering but stock looks good and I don't see any price jumps. I am pretty well stocked up but I will continue pack the bunker...

For every mass active shooter event up until this one, I would say I agree.

This one is different. It's going to take on a life of its own, merely because of its logistics and the shooter's proximity to a large group of people. Because of the volume of deaths and injuries. The shooter, not among them, but over them so he was not vulnerable to someone with a CCW, but searing down on them without anybody able to do much in defense.

I think you are going to see a slight reversal come out of this one that has people previously adverse to any kind of gun control contemplating some measures of registration or outright "Assault Weapon" bans. At every turn, the media will capitalize on that for clicks and eyeballs, if not a divisive plan to get a Hillary or Kamala in the White house in 2020.

It's a dangerous threat to the 2nd Amendment, and the worse form of sacrificing liberty for a false sense of security. But I think it's going to pull us down a bit.

YES, this latest mass shooting is going to cause a rush to buy ammo before the end of the year

it wont cause a nation wide shortage but it will have an effect on CA before the end of the year.

get it while you can without the registration / background check
