America, where we value freedom above all else, but you are not free to speak your native language... ugh. Be open minded. Share your philosophy on gun rights with immigrants. Many of my in-laws are first and second generation imagrants. Most are pro 2A and many of them are because I took them shooting. They in turn take others shooting. See how that works?

Italians and Irish strove to be Americans first, and not "proud" hyphenated Americans, and most of them worked hard to learn English, at least enough to get by. The off the charts identity politics in America today is nothing more than institutionalized balkanization. It is deliberately used as a wedge issue by the Dems to foster and promote disharmony between races, heightens and accentuates the differences between us, and does nothing to promote unity in any sense of the word. Mindless, empty slogans like "diversity is our strength" and the continued laughable patronizing of minorities by Dems ( primarily white liberals), and the constant, phony race baiting and scapegoating white conservatives - does nothing to promote harmony or unity.

What if the business owner wants to cater to Spanish-speaking customers AND he is a Trump supporter. The two are not mutually exclusive. A smart businessman would want to draw in as many customers as possible, including Spanish-speaking ones. And a smart businessman is likely to support Trump too.

If you threaten to contribute to Trump every time you hear "1 for English 2 for Spanish" he is likely to say "That's great! I hope you call several times a day! MAGA! And muchas gracias!!"

Although I think the OP's idea wouldn't work, is off kilter and lame, when it comes to assimilation CA is a perfect example what happens when there is massive immigration and assimilation doesn't happen. All one has to do is look at the laws that CA is passing to know who is pushing out who. Sanctuary State right a bell? Professional licenses for illegals? College tuition/loans for illegals? That should tell anyone who is running the show in CA. The Republican base has been diluted by massive amounts of Democrat voting immigrants. 1/4 of CA population wasn't born in the US, 1/3 are 1st/2nd gen immigrant who do not know American culture and vote for whom ever passes out the goodies. Democrats know this and is the reason why their numbers increase and Republican decrease. The only way Republicans would increase is if they abandon their principals, especially limited government, and start outdoing the Democrat in passing out the goodies. Sorry, ain't gonna happen.

Well it might be the fact that 50% of immigrant households get some sort of government welfare and 70% of illegals also get some sort of government welfare.

I think if you gave my idea a try you would think differently! So it might not work.
It costs nothing and the democrats who love the idea of pressing one for English and hate trump are distraught that you will follow through!
