the sale, delivery, or transfer of ownership of ammunition by any party may only occur in a face-to-face transaction with the seller, deliverer, or transferor, provided, however, that ammunition may be purchased or acquired over the Internet or through other means of remote ordering if a licensed ammunition vendor initially receives the ammunition and processes the transaction in compliance with this section and Article 3 (commencing with Section 30342) of Chapter 1 of Division 10 of Title 4 of this part.

The legislators have shown clear evidence of ill intent. But they're not regularly stupid.

There won't be a ammo crazy because everyone is stuck with buying 500rds per 30 days... lol.them 22lr hoarders can't wait in line every day now like before.

You can buy as much as you want from a licensed ammo vendor. The 500 round monthly limit only effects people who aren't licensed to be an ammo vendor selling ammo.

You're required to record the type and quantity of ammo received, if you self purchase with a FFL+COE whatever, right? Or are you exempt from all record keeping/reporting to DOJ?

The retailers will be reporting who/what/where to DOJ for all purchases, correct?

Im curious about this as well, with an 03/COE will keeping records be a must? Not undo able, but another hassle. I keep track of my inventory but never keep a file for purchases/receipts

There is no requirement in the ammo law for 03FFL's/COE holders to do any reporting or record keeping of ammo purchases, nor is their any law allowing CA DOJ to inspect your firearms, ammunition or records.
