I too kick myself each time I go to Target Masters. I guess I forget. I liked it when Ion was there. Glad he is at Irvington.

We went to Target Masters tonight for some range time and were treated well and promptly. As usual, we had a great time there with no issues.

PPT can be very slow, 45 mins plus on several occasions I have experienced. As mentioned earlier though, management requires the duplicates or triplicates and not the employees.

Also, the fellow with tourette's syndrome has always been courteous and helpful.

        Well guys,

Sorry to say I worked at that pathetic "Target Misers "when Joe owned the place back in 90's and it was the same then as it is now...a co worker and I were accused of stealing a piece of crap 22 that they said they had us on camera which they never showed us...

Anyhow we got "Let Go" but I think it was because we were trying to change the way things "Customer Service" was being done... I shoot there still but still no customer service or anyone there gonna help hahahahaha

"And thats the way it was fellas....

Now the buyer did not have a HSC card nor did he have the proper documents needed to do the transaction. thus the trip home to get his stuff, and taking the test for the HSC card.
Now i am not saying TMW does the fastest transactions, but we try our hardest to make sure nothing is wrong with that transaction.
          have an awesome day.
Who does this guy think he is? He makes too much sense. This is preposterous!

Let's give some general background to put this in perspective. I have shot at TM for about 6 years in the Monday night league and random practice times. I have bought about three guns through them. Here's what I know to be the facts:

            1) They Treat the Monday Night league pretty well. They give us a good deal on the range time and targets, and clear the A bay for use every Monday for as long as we need it.

            2) As for crappy service? Well..... listen to this:

Before when reed's range was called national, they treated their customers like dogs. They had one dufus checking people in which meant a 30+ minute wait most times to even shoot.

Buy something? I ordered some Pachmahr grips only to find out they had charged me FULL LIST PRICE PLUS 20% "special order" FEE... plus tax. Thier gun prices were always much too high, and they always complained that nobody bought guns... I wonder why?

They sold me a "super shooter" card for $250 that let me practice for a year and pay only $2 an hour for range time.... and they closed the range TWO WEEKS AFTER THEY SOLD IT TO ME.

AFTER NATIONAL WAS BOUGHT BY REED'S:

Did they support the shooting leaue there? Actually, no... in fact they constantly hounded the guy who ran it with their whining about the fact that the shooters were not buying enough of their outrageously priced ammo when they shot. I also found out they required the poor guy to carry his own liability insurance to cover the league or we couldn't use the range. As if, trained shooters supervised by certified NRA instructors were more of a liability than bozos who walk in and show a driver's license and start blasting away.

So, when people whine about Targetmasters it is kind of hard to understand how they think the other places nearby are any better.

for me, target masters was never meant to be a place to do ppt or buy firearms. i go there to shoot, and that is it. and in all fairness, you pay for what you get. their lane fees are very reasonable, and therefore, other areas are very lacking - i.e staff knowledge, service, etc. it's all relative. i will say though, however, that the owner (Bill) does seem like he is angry at something 90% of the time and does not awknowledge his customers. maybe he has had a hard life, or just often has bad days. whatever the case may be, stick to this range purely for shooting (and nothing else), and i think you'll be much happier.
