I avoid Ammo Bros, so arrogant! They are the most Taticool guys I have seen. I bet they are the guys in full kit at SHOT.

Anyways, they drive me nuts and stand around acting super cool because they work at a gun shop... I don't know why people shop there. Prices are whatever, they just act so put out if you ask them a question and then treat you like an idiot. I just laugh because I know they don't know jack and use whatever the rep told them to say...

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

I've had experience and purchases at both Cerritos and Santa Ana. I've never ran into a personality issue and have always had a friendly experience. Sometimes it may have taken longer than I would have hoped but sometimes places get busy.

The one negative, highly negative, was the gun lock B.S. while doing a PPT. That one really upset me and I wish that they would just advertise it a store policy and be done with it. I have since done my PPT in more reliable locations.

Unfortunately, in my search for other places for PPT, I have found more convenient stores for purchases and haven't bought anything from AB in a while.

I nor my partner go there anymore since they treated her like crap when she was trying to buy me a bday present.
Kyle "Kenosha Kid" Rittenhouse did nothing wrong

I experienced just the opposite, an ex gf had went in thinking she could purchase a 1911 and have me come in later to do paperwork.
Instead they calculated the total price OTD and put a gift card in my name since it was already in their computer system.
I ended up upgrading both the pistol and the gf, but that's another story entirely.

I have only visited the Cerritos location, but have had a pretty good experience every time. The only thing that ever peeved me was an employee trying to tell me a pistol was sold and out of stock, when I had called in earlier to have it put on hold. Thankfully I saw my name on the case and straightened it out on my own.

I really don't understand why these whiny *** threads exist. If you like service go back if not shop elsewhere.

just saying when a business hires people they don't always get people with a high work ethic. Especially in California....

The older I get, The more I see that your particular experience is the sum of your situation and attitude.
Ever wonder why people who have a bad experience at Store X also have a bad experience at store Y?
And conversely, the opposite is true?

              That's right!
              It's you.

I've purchased long guns and completed a few PPTs at AB's in Cerritos.

Haven't encountered any attitude but do agree with others that it takes way long time to get the paperwork done at the store.

Simple, they exist because "CUSTOMERS" have legitimate complaints about service or policy at certain vendors.

I've had very good service from the couple of Ammo Turds counter guys I used to deal with regularly. Eddy, older guy mid 60ish with white beard. And Marc, big guy, dark hair, mid 30ish.

Both of which were noticeably embarrassed when Ammo Turds changed policy. And decided they needed to start lying to customers. So they could bump their bottom line by $2 to pimp their fresh off the boat cheapy chinese locks with their name on the packaging.

Marcus, the manager on the other hand. I would not donate a cup of urine to if he was on fire. Lying to customers is never good business practice. Then projecting the lie onto the customer. And accusing them of trying to circumvent the law and get the FFL's license revoked is dispicable.

When the customer "Me" directly quotes both the Ca DOJ FSD law, and cites the code #. And the Federal CSLA of 2005. And cited the US code #. Then politely invited him to look it up. He refused and said very snarkily in a Beotch move once he was caught in the lie.

"I Don't get paid to read" then stomped back into his office to hide.

But he did get paid to lie to, and cheat customers out of a lousy $6.50

                  Screw Ammo Turds.

Maybe it didn't occur to you, but giving public feedback about FFLs allows others to learn about which ones are good.

And if you bothered to read the OP, you'd realize that the seller left me no choice but to go to Ammo Bros. An HK P7 doesn't pop up often and there were five guys in line after me that also wanted to buy it. Since I wanted the gun and he didn't want to drive much (which is completely his right), we agreed to meet at Ammo Bros.

Given how many other people said they had the exact same problems, it wasn't just a bad day kind of issue.

As a self-employed person, I think it's perfectly fair. I didn't just say that Ammo Bros sucked. I mentioned the good FFLs in the OP, because I praise the ones that are good and I criticize the ones that are bad. That's how the marketplace works.

I told another small business owner what happened and he was shocked. He immediately exclaimed, "I would never allow my employees to talk to a customer that way!" Ammo Bros needs to clean house at their Cerritos store. Their workers have poor attitudes and it is reflected in the negative experiences their customers have.

I usually hope to get Eddy because I've known him to be competent, but I haven't seen him the last few times I was there.
