If you owned them before the ban, and you have a featureless rifle (or pistol?), you can use them. Otherwise, you cannot.

In the United States a person's expertise on a subject is inversely proportional to their knowledge of the subject: The less they know about something, the more they become an expert on it.

Yep, the court injunction just made things the same as they were a year ago.. if you legally own pre-ban mags you can still own them.. and I assume still use them

That makes no difference.
The prohibition on transfer of 'large-capacity magazines' has been with us since 2000.
If someone possessed 10+ capacity mags in California in 1999, one could use those same mags in guns manufactured in 2000 and later.
What gets hinky is possession of LCMs that fit only guns manufactured in 2000 or later - it would have to be proven, but that would suggest an illegal acquisition.

And, of course, we're enduring the inanity that is the regulatory process, but likely the result will be that LCMs will be illegal statewide - unless a court stops them.Last edited by Librarian; 07-26-2017, 1:42 AM.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

Great.. steel mags.. some aluminum.. do you think they go bad just sitting around?
It's not a loaf of bread or carton of milk..
Oh wait, that was some sort of snide comment.. sorry, it wasn't clever enough to be clear at first.

If they were legally owned prior to 2000.. yea..
Like I said though, your mileage may very with LEO.. I've never had a problem, but some might not be in the loop as to the injunction.. maybe carry a printout of it
