Fix what? They are doing it because of fire dangers. Many of these sites (not all) are closed yearly during fire season. President Trump can't control the dry seasons as far as I'm aware.

We had an extra wet winter. That caused a large amount of vegetation to grow. That vegetation has now dried out and become fuel.

Or did I miss sarcasm here?
