FML: My LGS Supports Antifa

So I walked into Dublin Guns & Fishing intending to buy a Mini-14 and an AR-7 today. Then I saw the Antifa (in the form of "Redneck Revolt" and the "John Brown Gun Club") flyers posted near the door, turned 180 degrees, and walked out. Before you judge, I'm not asking this place to have Trump posters on the walls, either. This isn't a matter of right, center, or left - this is a matter of not supporting a group which thinks that smashing windows, burning other people's property, and bashing people who disagree with them over the head with bike locks is an acceptable form of political discourse. You don't exactly have to be Sean Hannity to think that's not good and to not want to support it.

This shop specifically decided as a business to be political, and they own the consequences of that. Today, the consequences were over $1000 in lost sales from me taking my business elsewhere. If you don't support political violence, I suggest you do the same.

Did you ensure that it wasn't a misunderstanding? If so, you are well within your right and good for you.

If a business wants to go political, they are preaching to the choir when it comes to those who think alike and alienating those who don't. No upside and a lot of downside.

Inside the door, next to the entrance. Not outside, or posted on the front of the building by heaven-knows-who. They know it's there, and it wouldn't be there unless they wanted it to be.

It's posted on the wall just inside the front door. It's literally impossible to miss, both for customers and employees. Like I said, if they didn't want it to be there, it wouldn't be.

OP, I'm fine with you deciding to shop else where and your reasons behind it.

But really, you go onto Yelp and CalGuns to post abut it? All you had to do was have a simple calm coversation with the manager on duty. You realize that a business doesn't run their own Yelp page. You went ahead and put something up for the whole world to see that the business can never take down or be given the chance to make it right.

IMO, your actions are about as bad as the idoit leftest who post #notmypresident and expect that to change the world.

I didn't post that at first because it's the support of Antifa, not the pro-gay stuff, that I think is really egregious, but attached is a little wider view of where this is all posted.

That's literally exactly what Yelp is for - to let people know the reasons why they should either patronize or avoid a certain business. And unlike talking to a manager, which in my experience will get you jack squat, this will actually get their attention.

Again, let me remind you: this business chose to make a political statement, and it owns 100% of the consequences of that.
