As your approach the state line don’t forget to roll you window down put your arm out and “flip the bird” to our governor and all the other mostly Dem politicians that have made so many of us want to leave or have actually left already. Enjoy your new home in a free state, but do your part to keep it a free state.Comment

Don't bring that california mentality with you across the border. But with such a broad question, I'm sure there's at least a few reasons to visit the FFL there.

My son recently moved to Arizona. On his new job the other day. the "big boss" came by while they were on a break. They started talking guns and shooting, and then asked my son if he was "carrying" at work. He said no, and every single guy on the crew pulled out a gun. The boss asked, "Why not?"Comment

First thing I did when I got here was remove the bullet button on my Saiga 12 gauge, next I deleted any all California DOJ emails since they are the definition of ignorant when it came to the California registration process, then I went out and bought a new AR and a new Kimber to celebrate taking them home the same day.NRA Life Member

When we crossed the state line from Commiefornia, the first thing we see is a huge billboard that says "Welcome your freedom back!" And while all of that will be stressful and a lot of work etc. It's going to be the best decision you ever made. When we finished with everything and got here it took another couple of months to get all of ducks in a row from vehicle regs, licenses, doctors, dentists, etc. Thanks! Moving to the town of Gilbert. Great family-centric town. I have a cousin who has lived in Gilbert the last 10 years. My family and I spent a couple weeks at her place back in April. We loved it. Of course she pulled off all the stops in order to entice me, my wife and kids to consider moving down there. I spent a day in the Titanium Lounge at Scottsdale Gun Club shooting a full auto SCAR, F/A Scorpion Evo, and F/A AK (her colleague is a member there - he brought me in as a visitor). That was the icing on the cake for me.
The move makes sense from all angles - cost of living is lower, less taxes, better school district for the kids, less traffic, housing is more affordable, highway infrastructure is better, freedom is a reality there, salary for my line of work is comparable to my current salary in the bay area. So it's a win-win, no-brainer decision to pick up and move. There's just a ton of steps that need to happen before it all takes place - from putting my current home on the market to identifying a property for purchase out there. We've been getting listings from our real estate agent in AZ, and there are several homes that we are potentially interested in making bids on. Taking it one day at a time at this point, but the wheels are certainly in motion
Once that's done you'll wonder why you waited so long for the move. Congrats on making the plunge. No matter the hassles it's worth every single one. You're about 1 1/2 hours from us, if you ever find yourself in the Oro Valley area PM me I'll buy you a beer.NRA Life Member
