...this summer. For those of you that have moved out of CA, what am I required to do with my firearms before crossing over?

Nope. You are free to take them out of state and like you said, restore them the way they were designed from the factory.Last edited by meno377; 06-07-2017, 11:41 PM.Originally posted by FjoldI've been married so long that I don't even look both ways when I cross the street.Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.

Aint America great? lol
I'd recommend tossing your bullet button and 10 rounders out the window as soon as you cross the state line!
To hell with littering

Just be sure they land on the California side of the border. Arizona doesn't take kindly to throwing garbage out the window.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

Thanks! Moving to the town of Gilbert. Great family-centric town. I have a cousin who has lived in Gilbert the last 10 years. My family and I spent a couple weeks at her place back in April. We loved it. Of course she pulled off all the stops in order to entice me, my wife and kids to consider moving down there. I spent a day in the Titanium Lounge at Scottsdale Gun Club shooting a full auto SCAR, F/A Scorpion Evo, and F/A AK (her colleague is a member there - he brought me in as a visitor). That was the icing on the cake for me.
The move makes sense from all angles - cost of living is lower, less taxes, better school district for the kids, less traffic, housing is more affordable, highway infrastructure is better, freedom is a reality there, salary for my line of work is comparable to my current salary in the bay area. So it's a win-win, no-brainer decision to pick up and move. There's just a ton of steps that need to happen before it all takes place - from putting my current home on the market to identifying a property for purchase out there. We've been getting listings from our real estate agent in AZ, and there are several homes that we are potentially interested in making bids on. Taking it one day at a time at this point, but the wheels are certainly in motion

took me almost a year to finally have my BB removed, it had become such a non issue for me, plus it was installed with loctite and i had to take it to a gunsmith to get it done
i still have all my 10 rounds magazines - they're my constant reminder
plus, many of them cost me $40+ bucks when i bought them
almost all of my firearms already had 10+ magazines too, most of them grandfathered from when i bought them pre 2000
to each his own, but i wasn't going to get rid of perfectly good magazines just because of their round capacity - it's like cutting off your nose to spite your faceOriginally posted by BarangI! hate! you! FalconLair.

Not any more. If you still lived here, you WERE grandfathered, but new laws have been put in place disallowing the posession of any 10+ magazines. Period. Aren't you glad you left?"Bye Felicia!" - Said by me, as I looked at Kalfornia in my rearview for the last time, 9/22/17.
