yeah, i've followed that bullsh**
i am glad i left for many reasons, im willing to bet most of us who have relocated have done so not solely due to gun restrictions, but, they were a factor
i have 3 firearms that i bought pre 2000 and all of them came with 13 round magazines, i've never even bought 10 rounders for them
one thing i will say, since leaving CA two years ago, i've bought ONE firearm, my FNS 9C, which i use as my main CCW, it came with 3 magazines, two 12 round magazines, and, one 17 round magazine - a great firearm that i wouldn't have even had the opportunity to purchase in CA due to the rosterOriginally posted by BarangI! hate! you! Welcome to AZ!
Yup as others said just dump your mags and bullet buttons at the state line and you don't have to tell anyone here in AZ that you brought any guns with you. No one cares. After 6 months of living in AZ you can apply for your CCW (some do it sooner without any issue). a four class and $60 will get your CCW for 5 years. Then when you want to buy a new gun, you walk in show them your CCW permit, fill out the 4473 and walk out with your gun. No background check needed.
Now from a former central valley/bay area transplant. Please for the god, leave your CA mindset at the state line with your BB, LOL, I'm sure you'll be fine. Prepare your wife and kids to see people open carrying in public. Even though your gun people, its still kind weird to see someone walking through Wal Mart with a 1911 on their hip.Comment

Another Gilbert resident here, formerly Pleasant Hill ... Welcome.

Keep your 10 rounders as a reminder. Libs (prob ex-Californians) tried to ban semi-autos here too. It can happen again. And Mike Dillon isn't around any more to stop it like he did the last time.Comment

I know this thread is crazy old, but I was searching for the same thing bout moving my rifles from Ca to Az this week cuz my company just transferred me to work in Mesa.
I'll be living in Chandler though, so if you ever want to link up. Hit me up!
I already joined ArizonaGunOwners site too haha
I'll stay active in both state forums :P
Thanks! Moving to the town of Gilbert. Great family-centric town. I have a cousin who has lived in Gilbert the last 10 years. My family and I spent a couple weeks at her place back in April. We loved it. Of course she pulled off all the stops in order to entice me, my wife and kids to consider moving down there. I spent a day in the Titanium Lounge at Scottsdale Gun Club shooting a full auto SCAR, F/A Scorpion Evo, and F/A AK (her colleague is a member there - he brought me in as a visitor). That was the icing on the cake for me."When The GOVERNMENT Fears The PEOPLE....There Can Be LIBERTY!"Comment

Well like everyone said, absolutely nothing needs to be done to your guns. But put the crossroads shows on your calendar & get some strong SPF sunblock. Also I was in scottsdale a few weeks ago and man, some pretty college girls in the clubs on Indian PlazaA guy told me one time "don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat from around the corner"

sell the off roster here for a much as you can and replace there for less money.Comment

I never deregistered my Robert Roos 80s Pomona Gun Show stuff when moving to Utah.
I told CA squat.
I am amazed so many actually worry about that.Comment

I mean geez, buying a case full of 15, 20, and 30 round magazines and yanking the bullet button off my AR was one of the first things I did once I moved out of CA.
Don't need to do anything special when moving out of CA, just be prepared to be hit with a bit of culture shock when you walk into an AZ gun shop. Still haven't even started to touch the NFA related stuff solely because I'm still getting used to a wider variety of handguns and unneutered semi-auto long guns.Comment
