Any person using force intended or likely to cause death or great bodily injury within his or her residence shall be presumed to have held a reasonable fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily injury to self, family, or a member of the household when that force is used against another person, not a member of the family or household, who unlawfully and forcibly enters or has unlawfully and forcibly entered the residence and the person using the force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry occurred.

If it wasn't for the new gun laws in California, NJ would definitely be worse. However at least you guys have the court cases going. Our future basically depends on California's since it doesn't look like Congress is going to do anything before our Gubernatorial Election this year.

marauder2003. This is how she got in my garage. The cable that pulls my garage door open snapped. While waiting for my landlord to replace the door I didn't pull the string that would manually lock the door shut that night. According to the PD this girl was cruising neighborhoods testing windows and garage doors. Mine happened not to be locked down that night. Don't assume it cant happen to you.Comment
