Holy Shmokes! It looks like the top strap held up to the cylinder blowing off. I'm surprised Ruger didn't replace the whole gun?

Maybe i missed where this gun was already sent back?

Not the revolvers fault. Try squibbing or running a double charge in a Taurus and they'd still be out there looking for his fingers. Frame in one piece, the revolver saved his hand, so yeah - Ruger all day, every day.

MY GUESS IS BAD AMMO

A neighbor, who knows I have firearms, brought me a .38 special with a lead wadcutter stuck between the cylinder and the barrel, he is lucky that is where it stuck. Took the cylinder rod out and used a rawhide mallet, beat on the cylinder and let the cyclinder cut the lead in half to get the cylinder out of the gun, it was an S&W. After I got the cylinder out, I took a brass punch and knocked out the remainder of the Lead out of the cylinder and barrel, checked both for any deviation and found none.
Took the rest of the ammo and pulled the bullet and found that the loads were about 1/4 of what they should be, not knowing what powder they used. And found out that the ammo was given to him by someone who found the ammo. He was lucky that the lead bullet got stuck between the cylinder and the barrel where you couldn't advance to the next round or We would be seeing the same thing.
GLAD NOBODY WAS INJURED!!!!!!!!!!!!
