Agree, but that is very rare with modern centerfire factory ammo even on an overcharge. Seems more like this will be a squib pushed out by a second projectile - with high pressures pushing back.

Still would would interesting to get a look at the collected cases' primers.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I don't doubt it. Ruger has been pretty crapy lately(I still bought another 10/22 though). I had to have them refund my money after two bad SR762s that jammed and had failure to eject issues.

Those Rugers have a very robust 25year reputation....A firearms examiner would or should be able to conclude if the gun was at fault or the ammo was at fault.
