There is no way someone is going to buy it. So do they just do it to make the other sales at $250 seem like a deal? And if someone just climbed out from under a rock with an extra $500 may buy it.

Judging by the sellers other items, I'd say that this problem deals with true military surplus and is appealing to those people who collect militaria. There probably is someone out there who is willing to pay a premium for a real used KAC handguard set.

Kind of like US WWII uniforms. Repros can be had, but I'm sure anyone interested in one would be more than willing to pay double or more for the real thing. Same reason why Nazi Lugers are priced higher than commercials even though there are more of them. People like paying that premium for the 'real thing'.

They don't seem to realize the demand is for semi autos--not accessories. lol. I love KAC stuff, but I get mine hella used and dirt cheap from ebay. You can easily hunt down genuine KAC systems like that for ~$150.
