So there are a few laws. Effective Jan 1 2018 is the requirement for all ammo purchases to be done in person. This means you have to ship any online ammo to an FFL.
There are two laws that are competing that take effect come July 2019. These two laws require background checks for ammo.
The 1st law requires a DROS check with every ammo purchase at the cost of as much as $1. This was past by the state legislature.
The other law which was a ballot measure requires a permit for ammo purchases at the cost of $50. The permit is good for 4 years.
What I read is that one of these two laws will likely be squashed. Which one is yet to be decided by the courts.
IMO, none of them will have the intended outcome is that is to keep criminals from owning guns and buying ammo.
All this does is makes it more expensive for people like me to buy ammo. It's just another ****ing tax to fund more bull****.
