I'll be out of CA by the end of the year but I'm still sticking up. There are some really good deals out there right now.

I still believe this law will collapse like it did in NY. If NY can't make it work, who thinks the minds of Excremento can?

This will go the way of the Bullet Train fiasco. Just because CA lawmakers want to do something it doesn't mean they can. Reality will set in eventually.

Why would this be a surprise to anyone? Who wouldn't stock up on anything during a grace period preceding the application of an onerous law? Oh, and watch the ammo prices starting about November as the absolute panic sets in.

the panic will only be in CA, so only local ammo prices will be affected.

there isn't enough CA buyers to disrupt the supply of out of state retailers.

Target Sports has 5.56 Federal ammunition for 31c per round when you buy a case. I haven't seen this ammo so low since before Obama was elected. Usually it's 37-38c per round, so that's about 15-18% drop in price. President Trump, MAGA!

Target sports has 357 Sig Gold Dots 50 rd for $19.99 I picked up a few. Will get more Thursday if still on sale. Stock up on calibers you can't just walk into stores and find a large selection of if any at all.

I am guity of this. I would say that my 2017 ammo purchase volume is at about 12k rounds so far, and I am in no way done!

Don't see the price to stack deep just yet, so I'm of the other camp as I have plenty for now.

Retailers will need to lower (adjust) prices if they want to move large quantities of ammo throughout the yr IMHO. (sell a lot now till end of yr, or a little at end of yr)

Volume is key to profit, & good business.

Not everyone in CA is flush with cash, & those people (majority) may have other outlets for fun that will likely get the money over ammo, unless it can't be resisted (price).

So who's been fishing more this yr ?

If Homeland Security stocked up on ammo so should we, after all what do they know we don't? My .02

I'm guessing that is the stretch of Harbor Blvd where the guys all carry "man-purses".

If yall going to stock up, then don't stock up on the cheap sheet. Stock up on something that you know will work.

When ISIS is coming down the street it's no time to run to the reloading press and roll your own ammo.

I spent over $10k between oct 01 and dec 01 at PSA alone. I'm all about bulk purchases

Discussion? My main concern is the definite increase in cost having to go thru CA FFLs only to buy ammo. Do you think they are going to hold the prices at current levels? How much do you think they'll charge as a service fee? I for one expect to have to have to pay more, maybe much more. While I can afford it that's why I'm buying in bulk at least once a month before the legislation kicks in.
