I don't need most of the guns I own. I want them.

I could've been well suited with a .22LR rifle, a .22LR handgun, a .280 Rifle for all North American big game hunting, a 12 gauge shotgun for all bird hunting, and a 1911A1 for self-defense. A full-size 1911A1 is easy to conceal and carry all day.

So far I haven't "needed" any guns.
But I have one or more, "just in case".
Do I "need" a car? A spouse? A home? A job?
Do I "need" food, water, air? No. But the alternative isn't nice.

I've had FFLs give me fake receipts greatly undervaluing what I bought, so my wife has no idea how much guns really cost. I have to keep a poker face when my spouse complains that some of my Sig Mastershops or 1911s go for upwards of $300-400.

To be honest, I think my wife has a point when she asks me why I have so many guns. Even CG'ers have questioned why I have so many.
