How many guns do we really need?

My wife thinks I have 3 pistols and 3 long guns. Says: "why do you need that many"?


I actually have 15 total (don't tell her). Feel like I need more! Why? Because I don't have a lever action!

Mine doesn't have a clue as to how many I got, she never looks inside my safe and it is usually just me that goes in there and we have been married for 6 years.

I take her hunting with me and we go shooting together on occasions so she knows I have a lot but just doesn't care as long as I give her money every month and making sure our son gets what he needs.

I testify in court an a "firearms expert". If you've seen as many episodes of Bonanza, Have Gun Will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive, and The Rifleman as I have you can be a firearms expert too. I was on a case where a woman was arrested for growing Marijuana in her back yard. When they raided her house they found her long deceased fathers long guns. These were expensive sporting arms. Beretta Shotguns, Weatherby rifles, etc., 19 in total. The female prosecutor stated in open court that these were weapons "commonly used in street crimes". Then she says that "the firearms were unregistered, therefore illegal" (all long arms, this was in 2012). Then she says very loudly as she's reading off the charges..............."and, defendant is in possession of more firearms than is necessary for a sporting purpose". There is no relevant statute but she read it off aloud as if there was. I laughed and laughed.
