    You guys make this sound easy, I have friend who owns some post may sample HK G36's. She's planning on dropping her SOT, is this all I need to do to get one of them?

        Are you an FFL/07 Class 2 SOT?

            Since they are post-'86 MG...
            You need to be a CA FFL/SOT, have a valid CA DOJ Dangerous Weapons Permit for MG, and have a Gov/Mil/LE demonstration letter for H&K G36.

                Well, that makes it more complicated, but if she's giving up her SOT, doesn't she have a year to dispose of them without the love letter requirement?

                        that "no love letter" requirement is only for NFA manufacturers that would be acquiring from an expiring SOT. NFA dealers still would need a love letter to acquire.

                            tht demo letter is needed for NFA dealers, but not NFA manufacturers. they are exempt from the demo letter requirement when acquiring from an SOT that is liquidating inventory due to SOT termination.
