Image hosting site other than Photobucket?

I use Photobucket to store images for posting on Calguns and the like. Recently it has changed for the worse and is almost impossible to use plus i suspect it is making my internet connection freeze, so I'm giving up on them.

Do you have suggestions for a free image hosting site better than Photobucket?

Content from Photobucket intended to make storing and preserving photo and video memories easier.

        imgur.

I used photobucket from '08 until '16. It seemed like PB strted acting up in early '16 and by Fall was absolutely intolerable. My son uses flickr and suggested I give it a shot, but I didn't like it at all.

Someone here suggested imgur and I've been real happy with it.

Imgur is OK. Creating albums and getting pics into albums seems a bit cumbersome. I found I also had to reduce the pic size once uploaded to Imgur and before posting to Calguns otherwise the displayed size would be too large. Maybe I'm just missing some simple setting?

I'm going to have to bail on Photobucket as well. It's like trying to use dial up internet 1996 style.

Photobucket always sucked! Never understood why people used it.

For albums, organization, captioning and sharing, Flickr can't be beat.

But for quick photo hosting for forums, etc, imgur is great.

For that you should use Flickr. It makes photos available for posting in a number of sizes smaller than the original:

One downside of using Flickr to host images for forums is their terms of service require the image is part of a link back to the Flickr photo page (as in my examples above). This is a problem if you don't want people to see the rest of your photos. Imgur has no such requirement, so it's good for forum hosting.

But the organizational features of Flickr are top notch if you don't care about people seeing the rest of your stuff. I use Flickr for all the photos I want to keep, and sometimes will upload throw-away stuff like screenshots, etc, to Imgur for showing in forums. You don't even need an account with Imgur (I don't have one, for example). This is the sort of thing I'll host with Imgur:

For forum posting I use ImgBB. Just upload, get the HTML code, copy and paste the source URL in between the IMG tags and you're golden.

imgur or tinypic as noted above, super easy to upload your pics and share them in diff sizes.

This is a good thread. I stopped using PB as well. Will try Flickr and imgur next. Thanks!

tinypic can be a SOB sometimes with their antispam video clips. Imgur is by far the fastest.

I'm a substantial fan of imgur, but remember it hosts pictures at their native size, so if you take a 13mp picture, it'll upload as a 13mp picture.
