Just spoke with a nice lady named Stacy at RSO. She looked up the incident and said that they (RSO) were getting calls from a lady that bullets were landing on her property and flying over her house so RSO decided to just close the place down for a bit is what it looks like. SO NO STEEL PEAK IS NOT CLOSED DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIGHT!!! I do feel that because of incidents like this and with the trash situation out there, SP's days are really numbered. I feel one maybe four more season is all it has. Enjoy it while you can I guess.

I mountain bike @ Turnbull Canyon. We used to be able to park on 7th St by the elementary school. But so many people took it for granted and leave their trash behind and not respecting the neighborhood. The neighborhood band together and got that entrance closed down.

Same thing could happen at Steele peak. Just that one neighbor could start a petition to shut down SP down

I've posted here many times before: if the gun grabbers ever went outside, they could get shooting on public lands shut down 100% in a week, simply by publicizing what a mess shooters make of the landscape.

Lucky for us they are allergic to sunshine and fresh air, most of them.
