Just spoke with a nice lady named Stacy at RSO. She looked up the incident and said that they (RSO) were getting calls from a lady that bullets were landing on her property and flying over her house so RSO decided to just close the place down for a bit is what it looks like. SO NO STEEL PEAK IS NOT CLOSED DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep that is right Steel Peak is finally closed and will never be open to the public. As I type this reports from my friends that are at SP right now are coming in saying that the Lake Elsinore Police are walking up to people telling them they have to leave. The reason given is that SP is now considered Lake Elsinore City limits. The residents of the surrounding area do not like the noise or the trash that is out at Steal Peak. We did this to ourselfs people. Being jack asses and shooting where ever we wanted and leaving trash behind. I always pick up after myself but there are so many people out there that do what they want. OH well another GREAT shooting spot gone.

This is why many on here wont share BLM spots and mostly refer people to the BLM offices when people want information on BLM.

Not yet. I tried to call the Moreno Valley BLM office but ofcourse since its the weekend no answer (our tax dollars hard at work). I will be on the phone first thing in the morning on monday!!!!

Exactly, ever popular BLM area I see is full of trash. I can understand the brass and shotgun shells, hell it's free for us reloaders to pick up if we chose, but then you have the ammo boxes, the plastic holders, PVC pipe, paper targets, etc, etc that everyone leaves behind and just piles up.

A front desk ranger type at the Movalistan BLM office told me (with a straight face), that you "cannot shoot anywhere west of 29 Palms and south of Barstow".
I believe that there are some states that are smaller than that area.

That would fall in the Lake Elsinore city limits based on Google Maps. Steele Peak isn't in the highlight as I posed above. Nevertheless we need to keep our shooting spots clean.

Lake Elsinore and Perris are contract cities with the Riverside County Sheriff Department.

Lake Elsinore Police Department = Riverside County Sheriff Department
Perris Police Department = Riverside County Sheriff Department

If any local LEOs were involved, they would be from the Riverside County Sheriff Department.
